HDS-1L™ Directional MWD Service
Fixed Collar Directional MWD & Gamma Ray
At the core of PathFinder’s MWD/LWD system is the modular fixed collar HDS-1L™ directional tool with positive-pulse telemetry. The tool provides continuous inclination and azimuth information and acts as the telemetry module to make real-time data transmission possible. The DataLink™ provides real-time communication with PathFinder LWD sensors.
The gamma ray service is easily added to the directional assembly and will produce high-resolution, repeatable logs for lithology determination and/or correlation.
Battery powered electronics have a life expectancy of 250+ hours. The HDS-1™ is capable of withstanding up to 40 ppb LCM with a passable diameter of up to 0.50” in the event lost circulation materials are required to limit fluid loss.
Operating modes are fully programmable at the surface. For flexibility, pulse width and transmitted parameters can be reprogrammed while the tool is downhole.
